Welcome to the new Palm Line Ltd. website. I would ask you to bear with us, some parts are still being collated and built. Despite the company closing, in this remembered form, 40 years ago there is still much to put together here.
PLEASE ENJOY YOUR VISIT TO THE SITE.
Palm Line played a remarkable role in Britain’s maritime connection with West Africa, carrying cargo, passengers, and the spirit of adventure across generations.
This website, along with sister page on Facebook, is dedicated to preserving that history — the ships, the crews, the stories, and the friendships formed at sea. Created by former employees, families, and enthusiasts, our aim is to build a permanent digital archive where memories are not lost, but shared and celebrated.
Through photos, documents, ship profiles, reunions, and first-hand accounts, we honour the people who served and the communities Palm Line touched. Whether you sailed aboard a Palm vessel or had a family member that did and worked for UAC, or simply love maritime history, we welcome you aboard. Explore, remember, contribute and join us in keeping the Palm Line legacy alive. Share with us here and on our sister Facebook page, Palm Line Ltd. United Africa Co.
